Internet traffic: So Cox has figured out what has been going on with my email, and it looks like I was correct in my guess. Then I discover that the mail server works--mostly, but the web gateway is down. And I don't know why. After a couple of hours on the laptop, though, I remember why we switched from dial-up.

Street traffic: Sucked nearly all of the way home. Took 45 minutes to get here, then all I had time to do was change clothes and go fetch the kid from Jazzercise.
