The courts know better.

Despite the fact that California hasn't had any problems with punch card voting, mostly because there are set guidelines already in place to deal with those dratted chads, yesterday the state used touch-screen machines to comply with a federal court order.

Amazing. For hours, some polling places were not yet open because the workers couldn't make the machines work. People were turned away. I hope they all got back to vote later, but I know that some didn't.

Beautiful, eh? Let's scrap what works so that we can make it harder for people to vote.
