Dawn's Journal

Last year it was butterflies that I took pictures of on the tour. This
year, I took the tour that went to the Orchid Garden. Whee! So pretty,
and I had so much trouble deciding which pictures to post! Here come
the flowers!

And one would think we spent more than an hour there ... but we didn't.

I was mistaken earlier. It's these itty bitty yellow orchids that I
love.

A lot of the pictures are from the special VIP Garden. Singapore honors
some visitors by naming an orchid for them. The only orchid whose name
I remember is the spiky purple one--because it just seemed to suit
Margaret Thatcher so well.

Three views from atop one of the highest places in Singapore, but darned
if I can remember the name of the place. Singapore was very smoky most
of the time we were there because of fires down in Indonesia. One could
watch the smoke curl through the hangar bay onboard. There was a koi
pond up there, too, and of course I had to feed the fish. I think it
was only about $2 Singapore for fish food, which was about a buck and a
half US. Those were some fat fish.

Almost out of pictures to post now, except for one of me at the Orchid
Garden. Forgot to move it to the flash drive.
