I heard on the news this morning that San Diego lifeguards rescued eight people from their cars. People who drove those cars into flooded areas. I wonder if someone came along after and said, "Hey, here's your sign."

Neighbors came home around 1230am. After they finally quit going in and out, the little one used the security door as a drum again. I admit, the noise the door makes when one beats on it is quite fascinating to very small children. It's just not amusing at 1230am when one is trying to sleep.

We had a brief visitor today, when the UPS deliveryman came. A lovely little black cat with a flowing tail walked right in as if he lived here. Brazen fellow. He politely walked right back out when I informed him that he was in the wrong apartment.

The Exchange has a 27" LCD TV for about $1100, according to one of my coworkers. We wants one, precious. But we knows that if we waits just a bit more, then we can haves one for even less.

How ironic is it that I should help proof a book for Project Gutenberg, and then hunt one down online and buy it just because I can't wait months for it to post as a free etext?

Enough for now.
