Home again

NaNoWriMo tee was in the mailbox today. Thank goodness I ordered the unisex version and not the fitted ladies' size. 'Tis pretty small for an XL. I still don't really like white on black but it is better than the nasty nasty alternative of baby blue on brown.

Didn't write much underway. Read Terry Pratchett's Maskerade all on the first day and enjoyed it immensely. I love Greebo! I can't help but wonder if he's a poke at that old joke about the old woman getting three wishes. After she wished herself young and beautiful she wished for her cat to be a man, since he'd been her constant companion; the punchline is when he whispers softly in her ear, "Now don't you regret having me neutered?"

Watched part of The Matrix Reloaded and the latest Terminator movie and was not impressed. Saw most of Identity and wasn't very impressed. Saw Dreamcatcher and enjoyed it. Let's see...also Smokey and the Bandit.

I did spend some time reading Plot by Anson Dibell. I found it very helpful.

But no writing.

And much pissed-off-ness. But that's for venting at work, where it might actually change something. Or not.

Page of the day. Euphemisms

Heh. Someone actually has collected a truly awesome list of euphemsims for the human male reproductive organs.

I just don't get Nebuchadnezzer, but some of the others are funny. I like pajama python, and Fandangled mandangler, but why would someone want to compare their pride and joy to a fish by calling it a Trouser Trout?
