Last book read: "Sacrament of Night" by Louise Cooper. I'd picked it up
used and hadn't got around to reading it at home. Enjoyed it as much as any
of her other books. Her writing has a unique 'feel'--rather wistful and
bittersweet. According to her website it's due to be republished.
Currently reading "Sharpe's Escape" by Bernard Cornwell. Picked it up
yesterday up at the BX while I waited for my haircut.
Got tired of waiting for the liberty bus on Friday night, so my liberty
buddy and I walked all the way up the hill to the gate, took a cab up to
Kadena, then walked off the base. Much walking for a couple of beers, but
good conversation. Got back onboard around 2330. Yesterday was more of a
lazy day--caught perimyndith online, called family, and did a
bit of shopping/haircut/eating before coming back here to go to bed early.
Of course, I remembered the camera when it was dark and forgot it during the
